The Southwest Virginia Governor's School is interested in developing science and math activity kits for loan. The concept is to mimic the highly-successful Biotech-in-a-Box loan program at Fralin Life Science Institute at Virginia Tech. Teachers in grades five through eight are encouraged to contact the SWVGS Director with ideas and to suggest topics of focus for the kits. After specific areas of need are identified, instructors at SWVGS will develop an activity, create reproducible handouts, and organize equipment for loan. SWVGS welcomes the support of interested parties to fund the SWVGS Activity Kit loan program.
